While a typical A4 notebook laptop comes with a 15.6-inch display, this model fits a slightly larger 16.0-inch wide LCD into a body of similar size. With about 11.4% more screen area and extra height, it makes viewing and editing complex spreadsheets easier and more efficient. At the same time, mobility is key — more people need a laptop they can carry around without losing desktop-level usability. This slim, portable design lets you work productively wherever you are.

The screen is 11.4% larger than a typical 15.6 inch notebook PC (15.6-inch wide). The screen is much wider vertically, making it easier to browse websites and photos, as well as perform a variety of other tasks.

Opens 180 degrees for "business negotiation mode"

With “Business Negotiation Mode,” you can easily share your screen during in-person discussions. Just open the display 180 degrees and press the shortcut key (Fn + 2) — the screen content will rotate to face your customer or partner for easy viewing. The touchpad and cursor still operate in your normal direction, so you can point things out or flip pages smoothly without any confusion.

Extending battery life with "gentle charging" and measures to prevent deterioration

The built-in battery has a tendency to deteriorate and lose capacity if left fully charged. Therefore, VAIO provides a "Battery Care Function" that can set the upper limit of full charge to 80% and 90%. This prolongs the performance of the built-in battery.

*Depending on the usage environment and conditions, the effect of suppressing deterioration of battery function may not be achieved.

Redesigned Keyboard with Improved Resistance to Dirt and Wear

Each key on the keyboard has a special UV coating surface treatment process, and the keycaps are laser engraved to resist fading. The keyboard letters are transparent and not easy to wear. Even in dim light, the keyboard layout can be clearly identified and input accurately.

The palm rest is made of aluminum alloy. The fine brushed texture enhances the beauty and texture. The scratch-resistant surface treatment ensures that the gloss remains unchanged even after long-term use.

A keyboard designed for better work efficiency

The keyboard, which plays a big role in productivity, features VAIO’s signature tilt-up mechanism. When you open the screen, the keyboard tilts to a comfortable angle that makes typing easier and reduces fatigue. To help minimise typos, each key top has a slight concave shape that fits your fingertips naturally. It’s also designed to keep typing noise low, so you can work without worrying about disturbing others.

A built-in numeric keypad lets you enter numbers quickly without switching input modes, making spreadsheet tasks and other data entry much more efficient.

Supports fingerprint and facial recognition

It supports dual biometric authentication: fingerprint recognition with a simple touch on the sensor, and face recognition using the built-in camera. The power button also functions as a fingerprint reader, so you can turn on the device and log in from a powered-off or hibernation state with just one press. This lets you start working right away without having to type a password.

Easy to open, easy to hold

The top edge of the screen is shaped for a secure grip, making it simple to open with your fingers, while the back of the device is contoured for a comfortable hold when picking it up.

Large touchpad for easy operation

The large, easy-to-use touchpad is designed to respond accurately to your fingers while ignoring accidental palm contact, so the cursor won’t jump unexpectedly while you type.

With three built-in microphones, you can choose from four modes tailored to different situations — whether you’re at a quiet desk, in a busy café, or on a late-night call at home. You can also enable speaker output noise canceling to hear others more clearly. The dedicated VAIO Online Conversation Settings key lets you switch modes with a single touch.

Quick mute for peace of mind

You can instantly mute your microphone anytime by pressing the Fn and Tab keys together — no matter what app you’re using — so you never have to scramble to find the mute button.

“Whisper Mode” for clear audio even when speaking softly

The device features a “Whisper Mode” that amplifies your voice so it can be heard clearly, as if a microphone were right next to your mouth — even when you’re in an environment where you need to speak quietly.

High-definition camera for clearer online communication

We know how important camera quality is for effective online meetings. Lighting from windows or overhead lights can easily make your video too dark or overly bright, which can hide your expressions. The high-resolution front camera on the VAIO® Pro BM automatically detects your face and adjusts brightness for a clear, natural image wherever you are. The camera is also angled slightly downward, so when you tilt the screen for a comfortable view, your face stays fully visible on screen.

Virtual Background
You can set a pre-defined image as the background during video calls.
Privacy Framing
You can manually adjust the area captured by the camera so that more of the background is not captured than necessary.
Camera video pause function
You can pause (pause) camera recording. The image from the moment you pause will continue to be displayed to the other party, so even if you go to have a drink or leave your seat for a short time, they won't be able to see you.
Digital Privacy Shutter
The camera privacy shutter allows you to stop (black out) the camera footage without physically blocking recording.
Face Priority AE Function
The brightness of the face on the screen is adjusted appropriately according to the lighting and other lighting conditions in the room.
Auto-framing function
The camera automatically adjusts to display the user's face at the optimum size and in the center.
Skin beautifying effect
We offer a "skin beautifying effect function" that smooths and naturally corrects the skin, giving the person you're speaking to a clean-cut impression.

Smart camera privacy control
